TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE (NIGHT CLOSURES ONLY)
A6187 Castleton Road / Hathersage Road, Bamford – Hathersage

WHEN: No more than 5 individual nights between the dates of 21 July and 8 August 2025 (1900hrs to 0500hrs only).
WHERE: A6187 Castleton Road/Hathersage Road, Bamford to Hathersage (between jct. with A6013 Sickleholme and jct. with B6001
Station Road)
REASON: To facilitate road stud and lining reinstatement following carriageway surface dressing works.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: A6187 (from point of closure), A625, A623, B6049, A6187 (to point of closure) and vice versa.

Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work
is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Please allow extra time for your journey.

The County Council intends to make/has made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to
prohibit its use by traffic.
