Vice-chair of the Council

Annette Nordhausen Scholes

I moved to Bamford from Sheffield in 2006. I am a law lecturer at the University of Manchester, with a particular interest in consumer issues. I am also an accredited mediator, and worked for several years as a volunteer with Manchester City Council’s mediation service before it was shut down in 2017. I have a husband Jeremy (who has lived in the village since the mid-1990s) and a son Magnus (born in 2016).

I am interested in public transport and traffic issues and in maintaining local infrastructure in a changing world. I am a keen gardener, and we grow quite a lot of fruit and vegetables in our garden (something I should like to encourage others to do). I believe strongly that putting something back into the community, which one derives so many benefits from living in, is important.
