Councillor (for Thornhill)
Andy Furley
My wife and I moved to Thornhill in 2024, having lived in Sheffield for 27 years where we raised our 4 children. I’m a Sheffield University professor in biomedical science, with interests in brain development and cancer. I have also worked in the biotech industry.
I have an active interest in community affairs, so am keen to serve on the Parish Council, as I understand the importance of volunteers to maintaining and preserving our countryside and villages, re both their natural beauty and the need to sustain viable communities.
