I grew up in an industrial and very unlovely Lancashire town (but I am still a Lancashire lad at heart). Since getting married I have moved around the country following a career in teaching, finishing up at Sheffield Hallam University.
I have lived in Thornhill with my wife for over 35 years and greatly value the wonderful rural environment provided by our beautiful Peak Park.
I hold a Black Belt in TaeKwonDo, enjoy Archery, Target Shooting, Restoring and riding old British Motorcycles, Writing, Walking, playing the Guitar (badly!) and several other interests. I do voluntary work in a local care home and am an active member of Bamford Sheepdog Trials Committee.
