I moved to the village 10 years ago, originally from Essex; I worked as a nurse in Sheffield before retraining as a lawyer.  I have been involved with various village initiatives and most recently Hope Valley Climate Action.  I believe that climate change and the biodiversity crisis is the biggest threat to the world and humanity for this reason I try to minimise my carbon footprint as much as I can and I am a member of the Green Party.  I recognise my role on the Parish Council is apolitical, nevertheless I believe Parish Councillors should be transparent about their political affiliations.
