PARISH COUNCIL MEETINGS

Because of the current Government restrictions on socail distancing, our Parish Council meetings are suspended in their normal form.

However, the Government has made temporary Regulations, coming into force on 4 April 2020, to allow Parish Councils to meet via phone-conferencing or video-conferencing (which were previously illegal for councils). Bamford with Thornhill Parish Council used this new flexibility for its 4 May and 1 June meetings, and will do so again on 6 July.

VACANCIES for PARISH COUNCILLORS (Bamford Ward)

Two vacancies exist for Councillors to represent Bamford Ward on the Parish Council.

Under the provisions of the Representation of the People Act 1985, it is now proposed to co-opt into these vacancies, and so expressions of interest from potential co-optees are very welcome. The Council meets monthly, usually on a Monday evening.

To obtain more information, or to apply, please contact Peter Leppard, Clerk to the Council (07860 624453) as soon as possible.

We look forward to hearing from you!
